The Fall of the Hyuns (https://thefallofthehyuns.net) is a collection of poems by Gye Mihyun, a poet based in South Korea. Comissioned by Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, I was in charge of art direction and devlopment of the bilingual website in collaboration with the poet and the translator, Gongmin.
Navigating Ant Colony as a Web Experience
In the style of Choose Your Own Adventure game sentiment of the web publication, the design assets were created from ink and charcoal textures that highlights the experience of an ant navigating the underground ant colony. Since Gye Mihyun’s poetry is very visual and diagram focused that encompassed in both Korean and English, I wanted to the readers to able to explore the visual change that occurs from the translation.
